  This boxy jacket is knit sideways from the sleeve toward the front and back center. The fabric is knit with one color at a time featuring stripes and slip stitch columns. The simple knitting allows you to focus on color as you customize the contrast color stripes. The main color forms stockinette stitch columns and the contrast colors decorate the geometric fabric with garter ridge stripes. Instructions include tips on how to customize the length of the sleeves and body of the sweater. A garter stitch collar with short rows frames the oversized silhouette and I-cord edges outline the entire garment. Enjoy diving into your stash to assemble a cozy collection of colors for this architectural statement piece.

  All sizes are meant to fit with an oversized fit. Size 2 is shown with about 29″ / 74cm of positive ease. The jacket works nicely with anywhere between 10 – 40″ / 25 – 102cm of positive ease, depending on how oversized you want it to fit. Select a size with more positive ease to exaggerate the boxy oversized style of this jacket or go down to the Size 1 or Size 2 for a fit that is not as oversized.

  Size 1: Recommended for 30 – 41″ / 76 – 104cm actual chest circumference Size 2: Recommended for 42 – 60″ / 107 – 152cm actual chest circumference Size 3: Recommended for 61 – 70″ / 155 – 178cm actual chest circumference

  The cuff length is customizable.

  The MC is shown in two shades of grey in the sample. The slip stitch columns, collar, cuffs, and side strips all feature the MC. The CC’s are the garter ridge stripes shown in various color pops for the body of the jacket.

  Needles
  US 6 / 4mm in 40″ / 100cm length or size needed to obtain gauge

  US 5 / 3.5mm in 40″ / 100cm length for the ribbed cuffs or 1 size smaller than the main needle

  2 stitch markers, tapestry needle

  Gauge
  23 sts & 48 rows = 4″ / 10cm in 5x5 slip stitch columns after blocking using larger needles
