D - FlySporty Merino is a custom spun yarn by Hedgehog Fibres available exclusively through Stephen & Penelope for 2016. Sporty Merino is a non-superwash merino with incredible spring and bounce. Due to the fluffy voluminous nature of the soft merino, it feels like a heavy fingering/sport weight yarn even though it has 400yds / 366m per 100g. The stitches bloom and fill space more than slick superwash yarns resulting in a more cohesive and “woolly” fabric. Sporty Merino produces amazing crisp stitch definition.
You can also use standard fingering weight yarns for this project.
