If you are knitting a two-color version using a main color for color A and a contrast color for colors B, C, D, & E, then you will require approximately 80yds / 73m for your contrast color in addition to 140yds / 128m for the main color.

22 sts & 30 rnds = 4” / 10cm in colorwork pattern on larger needles.
For a larger hat, I would aim for a stitch gauge of 20 sts = 4” / 10cm in the colorwork pattern.
