This is a PDF knitting pattern.
Knit some cozy shorts using two strands of yarn held together. The front and back pieces are knit flat with simple shaping so the inseam and crotch depth are easy to customize. Hold DK weight yarns double to eat up your leftover stash for a chunky marled fabric. The waist incorporates a folded hem with an elastic band.
Color pop side panels and afterthought pockets add a final splash to these comfy shorts.

23 (28, 32, 38)” / 58 (71, 81, 97)cm waist with elastic band relaxed, elastic band stretches to fit up to 31 (36, 40, 46)” / 79 (91, 102, 117)cm waist.
Length is customizable.

Chunky weight or DK weight held double.
Yardage
Approximately 900 (1000, 1100, 1200)g total or 1980 (2200, 2420, 2640)yds / 1811 (2012, 2213, 2414)m total with yarn held doubled. You will require half the yardage if you are holding a single strand of chunky weight.
Side & inseam panels require 1 skein of DK weight (100g) held double.

40” US 10 / 6mm needle
Notions
4 stitch markers, tapestry needle, 2.5” / 6cm wide elastic band long enough to fit around your waist
Gauge
16 sts & 26 rows = 4” / 10cm in garter stitch
