This square blanket is a colorful collage of stripes and textures. Choose four colors in a gradient from light to dark and work each section in the round from the center outward. The blanket begins with a crochet granny square followed by garter stitch and eyelet stripes. As the blanket grows larger with increases at each of the four corners, a beautiful zig zag slip stitch pattern is introduced producing a woven effect. The final border features all four colors with a dip stitch technique. Enjoy creating this special DK weight blanket with woolly yarns like West Wool Tandem. The large size is perfect for a cozy couch blanket or decorative bedspread.

You may need two or three pairs of long circular needles in the recommended size near the end of the project as the rounds get very long.
1 spare circular needle the same size or smaller for holding sts OR waste yarn.
